Rio Grande do Norte

Localizado ao sul do Estado, o Pólo Seridó é constituído por ecossistemas naturais e possui uma vegetação única no planeta: a caatinga. Faz parte do Nordeste semi-árido e abrange importantes sítios arqueológicos, que registram a presença do homem pré-histórico, através de enigmáticas inscrições rupestres.
O Pólo Seridó ainda apresenta majestosas serras, cavernas misteriosas, trilhas, rios, açudes e tanques naturais. A força das tradições populares, como folguedos e festas religiosas, despertam o fascínio dos visitantes. Entre suas maiores potencialidades turísticas, se incluem também a gastronomia genuinamente sertaneja e seu rico artesanato com seus famosos bordados.

Located in the southern part of the State, the Seridó Pole is made up of natural ecosystems and possesses a only vegetation that exists on the planet: ‘caatinga’. It’s part of th Norteastern semi-arid and holds important archeological sites, that registe the presence of pre-historic man, through the enigmate painted inscriptions.

The Seridó Pole also presents majestic sierras, mysterious caverns, trails, rivers, dams and natural tanks. The power of popular traditions, like the merriment and religious festivals awake the fascination of the visitors. Among its major tourist potetials, is also included the gastronomy, genuinely ‘sertenaja’, and its rich handicraft with the famous embroidery.
