About Rio Grande do Norte
Rio Grande do Norte is located in Brazil’s Northeast region with Natal as its capitol city. With nearly 3 million inhabitants, the state has a strong appeal for tourists and attracts more than 2 million visitors a year. These are allured by the natural beauty of its beaches, mountains, and backlands, the richness of its natural resources such as petroleum and minerals and the hospitality of the ‘potiguar’ people, which is the name its inhabitants are known by.
About Natal
Capital of Rio Grande do Norte, Natal was founded on December 25th in 1599 and it is one of the oldest cities in Brazil. The natural diversity of the “Sun City”, as it is known in Northeast, assures thousands of tourists every year. Natal has dunes, hills, lagoons and a huge coral reef. Natal also counts with an amazing night life, typical food made of sea food and a great number of popular festivities. Besides, the city is recognized as the one that presents the largest number of sunny days a year in our country.
